Millwork Solutions · Gable Brackets

Gable brackets may be used as either a decorative or structural support to any exterior portion of a home. The overall size of a gable bracket can vary greatly depending on its function, spanning in size to over 4 feet.

Gable brackets, like so many other ornamental architectural features, help define the exterior style or curb appeal of a home. In instances where they are placed under an entry door overhang, they can become the main design element of the home.

Millwork Solutions offers four popular gable brackets styles: Straight, Single-Curved, Double-Curved, and 4-Piece. We also offer four decorative end cuts: Straight, Angled, Point, and Curved. Mix styles and end cuts for over 16 different gable bracket combinations. These are our "stock" styles, but as with all wood specialty products from Millwork Solutions, we can create virtually any pattern or combination of patterns to match your personal style.

Gable brackets are typically constructed from 4" x 4" or 6" x 6" rough or smooth cedar because the resins in cedar stand up very well to exposure to the elements. We use heavy-duty galvanized screws to join all bracket pieces. Although brackets can support some weight, they are intended for decorative use only. Consult your local building codes for proper installation.

Gable brackets typically take 2-4 weeks depending on the size of the order, difficulty of the design, and overall size of the brackets.
